Walt Disney Animation Studios' epic animated musical Moana 2 takes audiences on an expansive new voyage with Moana, Maui and a brand-new crew of unlikely seafarers. After receiving an unexpected call from her wayfinding ancestors, Moana must journey to the far seas of Oceania and into dangerous, long-lost waters for an adventure unlike anything she's ever faced. Critics so far say Moana 2 isn't "as inspired as the original but still delights as a colourful adventure." Out in cinemas worldwide.
The Madness (Minisseries)
The Madness is a Netflix conspiracy thriller series starring Colman Domingo as Muncie Daniels, a media pundit who, after witnessing a murder in the Poconos woods, becomes the prime suspect. To prove his innocence, he must evade authorities, reconnect with his estranged family, and confront his lost ideals. Critics say "Colman Domingo’s slick, smart conspiracy thriller gets better and better". The series, created by Stephen Belber, consists of eight episodes available to watch in one go. The Agency (Season 1)
The Agency is a political espionage thriller series starring Michael Fassbender as Martian, a covert CIA agent ordered to abandon his undercover life and return to London. There, he rekindles a past romance with Sami (Jodie Turner-Smith), intertwining his mission with personal stakes. The series, produced by George Clooney, also features Jeffrey Wright and Richard Gere in its cast. Streaming on Paramount+, depending on your location.
The Seed of The Sacred Fig
The Seed of the Sacred Fig is a 2024 Iranian political thriller directed by Mohammad Rasoulof. It follows Iman, a Tehran judge, who becomes paranoid amid political unrest when his gun disappears, leading him to suspect his wife and daughters. The film, shot secretly, premiered at Cannes on May 24, 2024, and was Germany's submission for Best International Feature Film at the 97th Academy Awards. Out in cinemas in the US, released in UK on Dec 13th.
